Georgy Barklaya is a director and editor working across animation, film and visual effects.

After working on large-scale international VFX productions, he found his creative focus in animation and socially meaningful storytelling – particularly projects for younger audiences and stories exploring history, identity and society.

He served as Animation Director and Editor on the internationally award-winning Baldies, an animated series helping children understand and navigate cancer treatment. As an editor, he also collaborates with Bionaut Animation in the Czech Republic and is a long-standing editor for CG Boost Academy, which focuses on 3D and Blender educational content.

Currently, Georgy works on animated and historical projects, combining direction, editing, VFX expertise and new technologies.

Based in Bilbao, Basque Country, Spain, he works internationally and speaks English, Spanish, Russian, Czech, Polish and German.
